One of the UK’s largest facilities management companies
goes live with IRIS facilities and field service management
solution
9th November 2009 – Datchet - IRIS, the largest private
UK
software business, today announced that Sodexo has ‘gone live’
using the IRIS Siclops facilities and field service management solution.
Founded in 1966, Sodexo is a world leader in Food and Facilities
Management services in most markets, with more than 342,000
employees on 29,000 sites in 80 countries. The company is a prime
mover in the STOP Hunger campaign with a serious approach to
corporate responsibility and ethical trading. Sodexo is listed on
the Paris stock exchange with market capitalisation of more than
€6bn and annual revenues over €13bn.
Sodexo has invested in a 9 month project to implement the IRIS
Siclops field service management solution for 50 users. This
included a period of parallel running and user acceptance testing.
However, the system was delivered on time and within budget, and
early reports suggests that it is delivering against
expectation.
Dale Thomas, managing director of IRIS NFP and Major Business
Systems, said; “Sodexo is one of the most important businesses in
its field. Though it’s built its reputation in the catering
industry, facilities management represents over 40% of Sodexo
revenues. IRIS Siclops field service management will help the
company grow this part of their business by providing improved
management of service level agreements and preventative maintenance
schedules, better resource management, and improved control over
relationships with subcontractors.”
Debbie Taylor, Senior IS Project Manager at Sodexo, said;
“Following an implementation period lasting nine months, Sodexo FM
is now live with the Siclops Field Service Management solution.
Almost 50 office users are currently accessing the system to manage
field force operations from numerous locations for Sodexo’s
Facilities Management division. Siclops will complement other
Sodexo business systems to provide flexible solutions and greater
reporting to the business.”
